CLEANING & WASTE COORDINATOR
About the role: The successful candidate will join the Facility team and be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all cleaning, venue presentation, and operational support activities across the Unipol Dome, ensuring high-quality standards before, during, and after every event.
The scope of responsibility will cover the entire venue, including the Arena, Piazza, and parking areas, ensuring that all spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and guest experience.
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Venue Presentation Management
Plan and coordinate cleaning activities across seating areas, floor sections, hospitality spaces, backstage areas, restrooms, and Food & Beverage outlets.
Continuously monitor cleanliness, order, and overall venue presentation throughout events.
Coordinate rapid-response interventions in high-traffic areas.
Provide hands-on operational support to the team when required.
Event Operations Coordination
Oversee critical venue areas during audience ingress, intermissions, and egress phases.
Manage priorities and operational interventions in real time based on crowd flows and venue activity.
Work closely with Security, Facility, and Event Operations teams to ensure the smooth execution of events.
Waste Management
Organize and supervise waste collection activities during and after events.
Coordinate recycling programs, waste disposal processes, and the management of designated waste storage areas.
Materials & Equipment Management
Manage and monitor inventory levels of cleaning products, consumables, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and operational readiness of cleaning equipment and tools.
Post-Event Venue Restoration
Coordinate deep-cleaning and venue restoration activities following events.
Ensure all areas are fully restored and ready within the required timeframes.
Team Management
Coordinate operational teams working on shift schedules, including external contractors and service providers.
Assign tasks and define operational priorities.
Monitor service quality, execution timelines, and compliance with required standards.
Identify and address operational issues promptly, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
About You
Requirements
Proven experience coordinating operational teams, including external contractors and service providers.
Solid experience supervising activities in high-attendance environments, preferably within the events, entertainment, hospitality, or large-scale venue sectors.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple activities simultaneously.
Hands-on, proactive, and operations-oriented mindset.
Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage operational challenges in a timely manner.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and the ability to perform effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Fluent Italian language skills; knowledge of English is considered an advantage.
Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays in line with the venue’s event schedule.
